Aleppo police bust four-man car-theft ring after surveillance raid
Police foil specialized auto-theft network in Aleppo
Aleppo's Bab al-Faraj police arrested all four members of a specialized car-theft group following a targeted field surveillance operation. Officers monitored the suspects' movements in the neighborhood before mounting a surprise raid that caught them red-handed; authorities seized two pistols and recovered stolen items from a recently targeted vehicle.
During the subsequent investigation the suspects confessed to carrying out more than 70 incidents across Aleppo involving smashed vehicle windows and thefts of valuables. The Interior Ministry said the operation demonstrates the Internal Security Forces' vigilance and their commitment to protecting public order and private property through proactive policing and institutional rigor as reported by SANA
