The 12th Syria HiTech information and communications technology exhibition opened in Damascus on April 25 at the Fairgrounds, featuring 150 companies representing 345 brands from 45 Arab and foreign countries. Organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences and Ibda’a for Exhibitions and Conferences under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the event is presented as a platform for local, regional and international firms to display products, pursue business opportunities and support Syria's digital transformation, according to Exhibition Director Hala al-Sharbaji.

The fair showcases technologies across IT, internet services, smart cities, e-government, electronic payments and consumer devices such as mobile phones and laptops, with participation from research centers, universities, industrial and government entities. Organizers said 20 international companies from Saudi Arabia, China, Lebanon, Oman, Jordan and the United States are among the exhibitors. The exhibition occupies 136 pavilions, runs until May 1 with visiting hours from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and provides free transportation for visitors, as reported by SANA
