Reopening and rehabilitation

Local authorities in northwestern Idlib announced the reopening of 50 schools rehabilitated under the Loyalty to Idlib campaign during an event in Kafr Nabl attended by Emergency and Disaster Management Minister Raed Al Saleh and Idlib Governor Mohammad Abdulrahman. Officials began activities at Dhi Qar School, which had been out of service for several years despite serving the area for about 60 years. The rehabilitation work covered more than 800 square meters and included 21 classrooms, administrative offices, a laboratory, and upgrades to school grounds and infrastructure in preparation for the new academic year.

Community response and next steps

Residents welcomed the move as a step toward restoring educational stability after years of disruption. Local authorities emphasized the need to continue supporting the education sector and to press on with efforts to rehabilitate educational infrastructure and improve basic services across the province as reported by SANA
