Syria’s Envoy in Berlin, German Aid Head Review Development Cooperation

On June 26 in Berlin, Syria’s charge d’affaires Mohammad Baraa Shukri met with Anita Shammas, head of the Middle East division at Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, to discuss prospects for cooperation. The two officials reviewed development support files related to Syria, assessed the progress of ongoing joint projects, and addressed a range of issues of mutual interest.

The Syrian embassy said the session, reported on its X account, is part of continued engagement with German authorities aimed at following up on the affairs of the Syrian community in Germany and strengthening bilateral cooperation on development initiatives as reported by SANA
